Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 20, 2026

1. Introduction

Brain Health Playground ("BHP," "we," "us," or "our") is a cognitive wellness training platform designed for senior adults at adult day care centers and senior wellness facilities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

BHP is operated by youngand Inc. and is intended as a wellness and educational tool — not a medical device or healthcare service.

2. Information We Collect

Senior Participant Data

Collected and managed by authorized center staff on behalf of participants:

  • First name and last initial
  • Date of birth (used to calculate age for program suitability)
  • Gender
  • Physical accessibility information (dominant hand, arm mobility)
  • Game scores, session data, and cognitive performance metrics

Center Staff Data

  • Name and email address
  • Role within the center (owner, admin, staff)
  • Authentication credentials (securely hashed)

Automatically Collected Data

  • Browser type and device information
  • Usage analytics (page views, feature usage)
  • Error and performance logs

Camera Data

BHP uses your device's camera with MediaPipe technology for real-time body tracking during games. Camera data is processed entirely on-device (in the browser) and is never transmitted to, stored on, or accessible by our servers. No images, video, or biometric data are collected or retained.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the cognitive training program
  • To track game performance and generate progress reports for center staff
  • To adapt game difficulty based on participant performance
  • To improve and optimize our platform
  • To provide customer support to center staff

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share participant data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share data with:

  • Service providers — hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), error monitoring (Sentry), and analytics (Vercel Analytics) — only as necessary to operate the platform
  • Legal compliance — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS, US-West region)
  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Access is controlled through Row-Level Security (RLS) policies — each center can only access its own data
  • Staff authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens
  • Senior participants do not have login credentials — their data is managed by authorized center staff

6. Your Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know — You may request details about the personal information we collect about you
  • Right to Delete — You may request permanent deletion of your personal information. Center administrators can delete participant data directly from the admin dashboard
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale — We do not sell personal information, so no opt-out is necessary
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise these rights, contact your center administrator or email us at contact@youngandx.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain participant data for as long as the center maintains an active account. When a center's account is terminated, all associated data (staff accounts, participant records, game history) is deleted within 30 days.

Individual participant data can be permanently deleted at any time by a center administrator through the admin dashboard.

8. Children's Privacy

BHP is designed for adults aged 60 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify center administrators of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
